  1. I love cooking and baking, especially for the holidays. Every year one of my favorite things to do is make homemade fudge and cookies for all my family and friends. To me it shows them how much they all mean to me. And of course I can’t forget all the pups on my gift list. I have so much fun making each of them some homemade peanut butter “cookies”. To me making homemade treats is that little something extra that lets people and their pups know I love them. (If you ever want the recipe I’ll be happy to share.)
    Happy Holidays!

Why cooking makes me happy? Well, my husband travels for his job and is gone sometimes three months at a time so home cooked meals are few and far between for him. When he is at home I absolutely love to cook for him. It’s one of those simple everyday things that most probably take for granted but for me it’s a big deal to be able to cook a meal and sit down and enjoy it with my husband. This is why cooking makes me happy ?

This is beautiful. Sharing a home-cooked meal might be a simple pleasure but it is something that truly can be joyful. We can imagine the happiness you have when you husband comes home and you have the opportunity to share a meal with him. They must be special times indeed. Thank you for sharing why cooking makes you happy. We hope you can enjoy many shared meals over the holidays. Merry Christmas. ?

Cooking is my happy place, at the end of a stressful workday my boyfriend and I gather in the kitchen with our dog Stevie and cook our evening meals. We joke, chat and drink wine and Stevie is always happy because she gets a kind of entree before her dinner as we both give her food as we cook.

Dogs DO love the kitchen! If we have a meal go in the crock pot, Fella will literally sit under the kitchen bench for hours waiting for the crock pot to be opened. It’s easy to understand why cooking can make the home happy by bringing the family together at the end of the day. Happy Holidays ?

Cooking makes me happy because I’m cooking for the the people that I love and who make my life complete !! The joy I get from all the faces around the table and in my home enjoying the meal that I have prepared with all my love that brought us all together to stuff our faces and chat is the best gift that I could ever ask for !! And it helps that I’m the best cook in the family …Lol

  5. Cooking for my Dachshund Honey and I means we get to spend extra quality time together doing something essential for our survival! Honey Bun has her own stool in the Kitchen where she perches herself and watches my every move. When she’s impatient she barks at me to try everything on the bench then proceeds to spit onto the floor what she doesn’t like haha (she’s such a lady). Cooking has always been a means for me to destress and reflect on the day, and with Honey by my side it makes for a very interesting adventure 🙂

  6. Family!!!! Cooking always brings family together! As my kids are getting older and living on their own, I am now able to have my moments of how thankful they were. Either they ask for a recipe and want to know how to make a special meal they enjoyed or when they come to visit they always ask me to make something they have been missing! Cooking always brings a family together and I’m always eager for their requests of things I know they love to eat! I always make extras so they can take leftovers home! What my kids don’t know…..the yummy things they love so much are recipes I got from my mom that I loved so much growing up!

  7. Because it makes other people happy when I cook for them, and that gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

I’m cooking delicous and healthy meals everyday for my love ones (my family and our 14dogs) everyday. I love the way the food I’ve cooked give smile and comfort on their faces then smile. And it makes extra bonus that they give an excitement on every new food experiments every now and then. I’ve went to a culinary school to enhance the gift of God to me. This is one of my passion, making the hearts of my loved ones warm.

  9. I find cooking a great distraction. If I’m ever feeling blue, getting busy in the kitchen helps immensely. Loosing yourself to a recpie, measurements and temperatures always has a very tasty outcome 🙂

  10. I’ve found a new love of cooking and baking since having my two boys. I love getting them to help out in the kitchen they love making things from scratch, we collect all the fresh herbs ad some veggies from the garden together also sing up all our lovely eggs from our chickens it lets them get very hands on with mum in the kitchen

It sounds like you’re being an awesome mum by providing quality time with your boys as well as teaching them valuable skills. One day we hope to have a veggie garden and chickens, like you do.

  11. I had never really enjoyed cooking. As a single gal I’ve found that cooking for one isn’t very much fun. But lately there’s been someone special around for me to cook for. ? Cooking for two is so much more fulfilling and I find myself inspired to be adventurous and creative in the kitchen. They say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach!

  12. I love cooking because it’s like a kind of magic! Chopping, slicing and dicing, mixing and sizzling, and shazaam – a spectacular meal comes alive! Such fun that brings a sparkle ans joy to everyone as we come to the table!

  13. It brings my family together

  14. I love cooking anything with citrus in it. Every time I do, it reminds me of my beautiful Nan. She used to cook the most awesome orange cake, and used to put freshly squeezed orange juice and grated rind in it too, she’d have it ready for us after school lots of days, and its nice to cook things that remind me of her.

  15. I look cooking because it makes me happy ! I love to put some music and then start cooking. It’s so pleasant to cook for the people you love and to have people in your house for a meal and to share with them.
And I especially love using the notebook full of recipes that my mum made for me. It took her years to collect and write recipes and pictures, but I love this home made book and i will keep it forever
